About Muslim Educational Society Regd., Calicut
The Muslim Educational Society (Regd.), Calicut, in short MES, established in 1964, is one of the biggest educational agencies in India and has been an active presence in the field of minority welfare for the last six decades. It is a driving force behind the remarkable transformation of the educational status of backward communities in Kerala. At present, the society manages 160 institutions, including Medical College, Dental College, Engineering Colleges, Architecture Colleges, B.Ed Colleges, Arts and Science Colleges, Nursing College, Nursing School, Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Management Institutes, CBSE/State Syllabus Schools, Orphanages, Hospitals, and Old Age Homes. MES has introduced many social welfare schemes for the benefit of minority communities, including a scholarship scheme for deserving students.
The aims and objectives of the Society, as laid down in the Bye-laws, are to work for the educational, social, cultural, and economic advancement of the people of India in all possible ways.
